Perimeter French Drain

We are installing a perimeter french drain around the backyard of this property. You can see we dug a trench around the entire yard that will be used for our french drain. This homeowner is going to save money by repurposing the dirt that we excavated for this project. This lot is low, so we are going to crown the backyard and push the water to the perimeter drain.

The trench that we dug follows the perimeter of the property, we went around the shed as well.

We have a balance tube connecting the two sides, using a balance tube allows us to balance the pressure between the two sides. It also allows the water being carried on either side of the perimeter to be balanced.
