Stainless steel, heavy duty quality internal, integrated thermostat. A light showing that it is getting power turns red when the element is heating up and blue when it’s not. Draws a minimum amount of power to not affect your electric bill. Rated at 300 watts and only goes on below freezing. The thermostat on the heater is set to turn off at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). It is not meant to turn off the heating element when the ice is not present. Running cost: 75% less to run than a 1200-watt de-icer.
